Meet Lachie!

Lachie's classes are strong, flowing and full of seamless transitions, and and he loves a good core finisher. Read on to learn more about Lachie, including his self-proclaimed nerdy hobbies!

How would you describe your teaching style?

Hello, my name is Lachie. I naturally teach quite a strong class and I really prioritise flow, so seamlessly transitioning between the exercises throughout our class.

What's your favourite class to teach at Scout?

Something that I've been enjoying a lot is the hot mat Pilates classes.

What's your favourite thing about teaching?

My favourite thing about teaching is meeting all the wonderful people that come into Scout, we have such a great community of people.

What's a fun fact about you?

Sometimes if I'm eating an apple and I'm too lazy to get up I just eat the whole thing with the core and the seeds and everything.

Morning or evening classes?

I love teaching in the morning.

What's your favourite Pilates move?

My favourite Pilates exercise is actually the Hundreds. I think it's great to finish a class with a strong core finisher.

What do you like to do when you're not teaching?

I am usually either bush walking or surfing. I'm quite active with my friends. And I am a bit of a nerd as well, I play lots of Dungeons and Dragons, I go to the Renaissance fairs, and I've started building wizard staffs in my spare time.

What are you reading, listening to or watching right now?

I am currently reading the Deltora Quest series of books. It was my first fantasy series that I read as a child, which is really fun. And I'm listening to a podcast by Brandon Sanderson on writing fantasy novels. I told you I'm a nerd, and I'm totally doing it.
