I’VE NEVER DONE PILATES AND YOGA BEFORE. WHERE SHOULD I START?
The great news is that Pilates and Yoga is for everybody! No matter your age, fitness level, flexibility, experience or gender.
group classes
Want to try out our group classes? We have our introductory offer: 5 classes for $75. This applies to all of our group classes (not Private sessions or workshops.
If you’re interested in our reformer classes, we recommend starting with our Reformer Beginners if you’re new to reformer. This class will spend more time learning about the machine and is great for those that don’t have a regular movement practice. If you feel comfortable with how your body moves, we recommend starting with our Reformer Essentials classes which are open level.
For mat based classes, we recommend starting with our Mat Signature or Mat Gentle classes. We also offer Barre Burn classes which are suitable for everybody. For those new to yoga, we recommend starting with our Fundamental and Chill classes.
private & small group sessions
If you have any specific body concerns and would like to have a bit more attention before you join our group classes, then we recommend starting with our Small Group Studio Equipment sessions, or one-on-one private session. Our small group sessions use traditional Pilates studio equipment for a more tailored experience and are a max of 3 people. For our private or duet sessions, we can run these on the Studio Equipment, Reformer, Mat, Barre or Yoga These sessions give you a little more attention, so you can work on your technique and feel more confident.
Please note, clients must be aged 14+ to attend mat classes and 16+ to attend reformer classes with a parent/guardian present.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
Just you – and if you’re doing reformer, your socks! We sell grip socks in the studio if you need a pair. They are compulsory for all reformer classes.
We provide all props and mats for mat based classes. Socks are optional.
You can bring your own water bottle to fill up here, or use our water fountains with re-usable cups for water. We also provide complimentary sweat towels and have bath towels for hire.

How do your memberships (subscriptions) work?

HOW DO I BOOK OR CANCEL MY CLASSES VIA THE WEBSITE OR APP?
All of our classes are pre-booked online through the website, or the Scout Studios app (download it from your app store).
To book in via the app, please click on the Scout logo, and then select Schedule to book. You can filter by location at the bottom where the grey location button is. You can also filter by class style in the bottom right filters.
Or, if booking online, visit our Timetable, Pricing or Book Now pages on our website to get the ball rolling.
To cancel your classes, please follow these steps:
Via the website:
Visit momence.com
- Sign in
- Click ‘My events’
- Click cancel on the class you need to cancel
Via your app:
- On the ‘Home’ page, click on the Scout Logo under ‘Book’.
- Click on the class you wish to cancel under the Upcoming For You heading.
Please note, clients are responsible for their own bookings – we don’t handle bookings via email, phone or social media.
HOW DO YOUR MEMBERSHIPS (SUBSCRIPTIONS) WORK?
We offer different subscriptions to reflect the needs of our clients – you! What we call a membership is referred to as a ‘subscription’ in Momence.
Our Unlimited Membership is the most popular. It allows you to book up to two classes per day – why not challenge yourself with a mix of all of our class types! These memberships incur a $15 fee for late cancel or $20 no-show so we encourage you to cancel at least 6 hours before class starts.
Our Crew 2 or Crew 3 memberships are perfect if you know you want to just do two or three classes a week of any type of class – 2 x Reformer, 3 x Reformer, 2 x Mat/Barre/Yoga or 3 x Mat/Barre/Yoga or a combination of the two. These memberships are interchangeable and can look different each week. With these memberships you won’t be charged a fee for late cancel/no show, but you will forfeit one of your passes for the week (so if you’re on a Crew 3 membership and late cancel one of your classes, you can only attend 2 classes that week etc). If you wish to attend additional classes in a week, you will need to purchase a casual visit or a ten pack to supplement your visits. Our Crew memberships don’t roll over – you have to use them or lose them!
All memberships (subscriptions) can be paused for a maximum of 6 weeks for holidays/medical needs while active. Please contact the studio to process this request at least 3 days before your next payment is due so we have time to process the suspension. All memberships can be cancelled with 7 days written notice while active. To request a cancellation or suspension, please contact us at hello@scoutstudios.com.au. Memberships cannot be cancelled while on a suspension – your membership must be active.
Memberships may be subject to price increase, but will be communicated in writing 4 weeks prior to any change. Clients have the option to opt-out of their membership with 7 days written notice.
I HAVE A MEMBERSHIP (SUBSCRIPTION) BUT ITS NOT LETTING ME BOOK CLASSES WITH MY MEMBERSHIP. WHY IS THIS?
There can be a few reasons for this.
- You can only book as many classes per week as you are allocated by your membership. This means that you won’t ever end up with unpaid visits if you are on our Crew subscription. You will however be able to book discounted casual visits if you hold a membership.
- Our new payment platform is Stripe. Stripe will only try once on your payment date to take money from your account with no fees for failed attempts. If your membership is not paid at that time it will attempt to re-charge after three days. If this attempt fails, your account will be locked and you will not be able to book additional classes until you have paid. This ensures that you will be able to respond more quickly to account issues like your credit card details needing updating and won’t end up with an account in arrears with us.
- Our system will only allow subscriptions to book a max of 2 classes per day – so if you’ve already locked in two classes for the day, you will have to pay for additional visits on that same day.
WHAT PAYMENT TYPES DO YOU ACCEPT?
Payment can be made by card (including Amex) or via direct debit through Momence. Please note, from July 1, 2025, card payments will also incur a 2.75% + 30 cent fee for each transaction. If you pay by direct debit, no transaction fees are incurred.
You can update your card or bank details by logging into your account via momence.com and visiting ‘My Account’ in the left hand menu, or, speak to our friendly team who can update it in person or over the phone for you. Please never email your financial details to us.
To ensure your membership can be deducted each week without hassle, please update your payment details via your Momence account. Please note, Scout Studios reception staff cannot delete your credit card details for you – this is a Stripe security measure. We can update the card details however! Please note in the app that you won’t get a pop-up to show your details are updated in the app, and it may not show the card on file as a security measure.
HOW DO I REDEEM A GIFTCARD?
Lucky you, getting a gift card! To redeem, please enter the unique code of your gift card into the promo code section during checkout online. You will need to set up an account with us to redeem your gift card and book classes. But you don’t need to be a member to give the gift of a Scout gift card – perfect for gifting at any value to the people you love.
If you’d like to use your gift card towards setting up a membership, please speak with our desk staff.
Or, you can gift a specific pack to someone – just ask us how and we’ll send you a gifting link.
What is your waitlist policy?
We’re a busy boutique studio. We don’t want anyone to miss out so we offer a waitlist function.
- Our waitlists do move so don’t be afraid to add yourself to the waitlists. You’ll never be moved into class from the waitlist closer than four hours before class starts. After that, if you’re still on the waitlist check in to see if anyone late cancels. A spot may open up for you! From time to time, the Scout Admin team may message you to let you know if a late cancellation spot has opened up for a class you’re on a waitlist for.
- If you place yourself on a waitlist, please be aware this indicates you will attend class if moved in. If you are moved in from the waitlist and can no longer attend, our late cancellation policy will apply. If you can no longer attend the class you are on the waitlist for, please make sure to remove yourself before the 6 hour late cancellation window.
- If your class is early in the morning, make sure to wake up early to check if you got in, or remove yourself from the waitlist before going to bed just in case you get moved in after you’ve gone to sleep to avoid charges or pass forfeits. You will be moved into class up until 4 hours before the class time – this includes overnight.
- For small group Studio Equipment sessions, you will be moved into class up until 12 hours before the class time.
- With Momence, you will never be moved into a class without a valid pass/membership.
What is your booking policy?
Bookings are essential to secure your spot in class at Scout Studios. Bookings can be made online or through the Scout Studios app, available in the App Store for your device. While you are welcome to show up to see if a spot is available, we cannot guarantee you will be able to get into class.
Bookings open 30 days in advance.
Clients are responsible for their own bookings – we don’t handle bookings via email, phone or social media.
Please always check in for your class at the front desk.
For all classes, please try to arrive at least 5 minutes before class to give you adequate time to check in, store your belongings in a locker, get a drink and sweat towel, and say hi to your teacher. We have a strict 5 minute cut off time for entry to classes. If you are later than 5 minutes, you will not be allowed entry to class. We will endeavour to place you into another similar class starting at the next available class time where space is available.
Please note, socks are compulsory for Reformer classes. Bring your own, or purchase your grip socks in studio.
You do not need to bring a mat for mat, barre or yoga classes – we provide these.
For sauna bookings, you can find these under appointments in our Scout app or via the website.
What is your cancellation policy?
Our group classes have an early cancel period, up to 6 hours before class starts for reformer, mat, barre and yoga classes. Cancellation on or within six hours will be counted as a late cancel. Please try to early cancel so other people have the opportunity to make it to class. No one likes to miss out! We do not take bookings or cancellations via phone, email or social media. All changes need to be made via your app or the website.
- If you do not show up to class, this will be counted as a no-show, and the no-show policy will apply.
- Late cancellation or no-show for casual visits, Introductory Offers, 5 and 10 Pack holders or Crew members will result in a forfeit of your pass for the class.
- Unlimited Membership or Student Membership holders who late cancel will be charged a $15 cancellation fee. A non-attendance to class without prior cancellation will be counted as a no-show and be charged $20.
- Please always check in at the desk for every class. If you haven’t attended a class we will send you an email notification. If you were there and didn’t check in before class, please respond directly to the email from hello@scoutstudios.com.au so we can update your attendance. A $1 charge will be applied to initiate the refund for this, however on future instances it is your responsibility to check in for class.
- Our small group Studio Equipment sessions require 12 hours notice to cancel. After that, the full session pass will be forfeited for late cancel.
- Our Private sessions require 12 hours notice to cancel. After that, the full session pass will be forfeit for late cancel.
- Events, Workshops and Specialty classes at Scout have a 12 hour cancellation window. Anything on or within 12 hours of the workshop will forfeit your booking fee.
- Sauna + Ice Bath sessions have a 12 hour cancellation window. Anything on or within 12 hours of the booked time slot will forfeit your booking fee or pass.
- Sometimes at Scout, we need to have a different teacher on the schedule to cover for emergencies, illness, annual leave, etc and reserve the right to change this without notice, when required. We will always strive to provide the advertised class style on the schedule. In the event that the same class style cannot proceed, we will notify clients of a class cancellation or class style change by SMS or email in as timely a manner as possible.

Can I attend classes at all three locations?
Scout memberships and packs can be used at all of our locations. You can book your classes by visiting the timetable for each studio, or through the Scout app.
class types & suitability
WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE ARE STUDIO TIMETABLE CHANGES?
Sometimes, emergencies or illness happen for our team. We will always strive to provide the advertised class on the timetable where possible by having a teacher cover. Every effort will be made to notify clients if there is a class cancellation or style change by SMS or email in as timely a manner as possible. We will not be able to notify clients in the event of a teacher change if the class is of the same style as advertised on the schedule.
For changes to our permanent schedule, please keep an eye on our timetable, social media, in-app messages or chat to our team.
Can I bring my child?
We love that you want to share the joy of Pilates with your family! However, aside from our Parents + Cubs classes (bubs under 1 yo), children are not able to take part in Scout classes.
The minimum age to attend classes is 14+ for mat based classes and 16+ for reformer with a parent/guardian present.
Children cannot be left in reception while classes are being taken.
I’M PRE-NATAL OR POST-PARTUM. WHAT CLASSES SHOULD I ATTEND?
We offer a range of pre-natal classes during the week from reformer to mat to yoga. These are safe, effective workouts for your changing body. You’ll also be made comfortable in Reformer Essentials, Barre Burn, Mat Signature and most Yoga classes. After 12 weeks, Reformer Power Jump, Reformer Strength, Reformer Elevate, Reformer Circuit and our Hot Classes are not suitable. Mat Sweat, Mat Strength, Enhanced Yoga and Barre Cardio is not suitable in the third trimester.
Once you’re cleared to exercise post-partum, you will find our Parents & Cubs classes great for re-building strength in the core, pelvic floor and back. Relax with fellow parents, and get a workout in with bub right beside you (and no one minds if bub cries, seriously!). We have a change table you can use, and feeding is more than welcome in Scout. You’re also welcome without bub in any of our classes. These classes are valid for bubs up to 1 year old.

There is a doggo?!
Yes, his name is Ollie and he is the goodest boy. He sometimes visits to oversee your classes and privates with his mum, Lucy. You’re welcome to pat and tell him how much you like his ears.
Please don’t bring your own dog to Scout however; we’re a one dog studio. We also ask you don’t leave your dog outside the studio tied up.
We cannot ensure their safety or comfort, and will ask you to take your pupper home.

Pop in and give them some love, or pick up one of our scents in-studio.
