I'm not sure I'm ready to teach yet
That’s totally fine. Many people participate in teacher trainings to deepen their practice and understanding of yoga. It is a wonderful thing to do!
Does my practice have to be at a certain level to participate?
No, not at all! We welcome all bodies, abilities and levels.
Is there homework throughout the course?
Yes, there will be small bits of homework between sessions, throughout the course. You should budget for approx. 2-3 hours per week of homework during the course, plus time for your āsana and meditation practice.
How will I be assessed?
On the first day of training you will receive your written exam to complete in your own time. To receive your teaching certificate, this must be handed in at the end of the course, and your practical assessment must be completed.
You also need to complete 50 classes in your practice log to make up your hours. 15 of these classes will be included in the course hours, and the others you will need to find time for.
Don’t worry, there are no scary exams where you have to cram your brain with a million facts and Sanskrit names.
What's if I can't make it to some of the dates?
We require 100% attendance to qualify for your teaching certificate. In the event of emergencies, we may be able to accomodate at our discretion.
