why yin yoga
Yin Yoga is more than a physical practice—it’s a path to balance, healing, and inner peace. Rooted in the ancient principles of Chinese Medicine, this training will:
-
Balance the Body: Unlock the flow of energy (Qi) through the meridian system, promoting physical and energetic alignment.
-
Transform the Fascia: Target deep connective tissues to release tension, improve flexibility, and support the health of joints and the entire body.
-
Soothe the Mind: Cultivate stillness and mindfulness, reducing stress and fostering mental clarity and emotional integrity.
-
Rest and digest: Restore and tend to your nervous system, tuning into the parasympathetic, softening into the tissues.
Nurture the Spirit: Connect deeply with the rhythms of nature and the elements of Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water for holistic healing.

Do I need Pilates experience before starting the Mat Certification?
No prior experience is required. Many students join the Mat Certification as their very first step into Pilates education.
We do recommend having around 25 hours of personal practice (taking Pilates classes) simply to help you feel familiar with the movements — but it’s not required.
Wherever you’re starting from, we’ll guide you from the beginning and support you as your skills grow.
How long does the Mat Certification take to complete?
Many students follow the guided 12-week pathway, but you’ll have up to 12 months to complete all requirements at a pace that suits your life.
What does a typical week look like during the Mat Certification?
Most weeks include a mix of online study, movement practice, and reflection. During Phase 1, you’ll work through self-paced modules on your own schedule. During teaching lab weeks, you’ll attend live sessions and integrate what you’ve learned through practice teaching and feedback.
The structure is designed to be manageable alongside work and life, with clear guidance on what to focus on each week.
