SCOUT CHATS: Coming home to Your Body

WORKSHOP

Sunday 24th May 2:30pm - 4pm with Madeleine Stone

Reconnecting with Yourself Through Life’s Transitions

Join Clinical Psychologist Madeleine Stone for a reflective and empowering afternoon exploring the psychology of body image, identity shifts and mental health through seasons of change.

For many people, our relationship with our body becomes the place where stress, perfectionism, burnout, motherhood, and major life transitions quietly land. But body image isn’t just about appearance - it’s about meaning, identity and the stories we carry about ourselves.

In this 90-minute workshop, Madeleine will explore:

• Why body dissatisfaction often increases during periods of transition

• The hidden psychological patterns that shape how we see ourselves

• How burnout and high-achieving tendencies disconnect us from our bodies • Practical tools from Schema Therapy, CBT and ACT to quiet the inner critic • Ways to reconnect with your body

This session will be warm, accessible and grounded in clinical expertise - offering insight, reflection and practical takeaways you can begin using immediately. Whether you’re navigating motherhood, career shifts, relationship changes, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, this afternoon is an invitation to come home to your body with compassion and clarity.

YOGA FOUNDATIONS WORKSHOP

WORKSHOP

Saturday 21st June 12:15pm - 2:15pm with Nathalie Murray

Join Nathalie for a 2-hour Yoga Foundations workshop designed to deepen your understanding of both the practice and the purpose of yoga.

This session goes beyond simply “doing the poses,” offering a space to explore the building blocks of yoga in a way that feels accessible, thoughtful, and relevant to your body and your life.

We’ll spend time unpacking key foundational postures — such as standing poses, simple backbends, and gentle inversions — with a focus on alignment, stability, and ease. You’ll learn how to approach these shapes in a way that supports your body, rather than forcing it, so your practice feels more sustainable and intuitive over time.

Alongside the physical practice, we’ll introduce the Eight Limbs of Yoga, offering insight into the philosophy that underpins what you experience on the mat — from breath and movement to focus and awareness. This creates a more holistic understanding of yoga as more than just exercise, but a practice you can carry into daily life.

Throughout the workshop, you’ll explore how to:

- Approach foundational poses with clarity and confidence

- Use breath to support and guide your movement

- Adjust and modify postures to suit your individual needs

- Build strength and stability without unnecessary tension

- Develop greater awareness, both physically and mentally

You’ll leave with a stronger connection to the fundamentals of yoga — feeling more steady in your body, clearer in your understanding, and more confident stepping into any class.

This workshop is open to all levels and offers a supportive, welcoming space to slow down, ask questions, and reconnect with the deeper intention behind your practice.

Ticket Price: $50 members | $65 non-members
